The rally is back on and scheduled for May 10, everything else remains the same. That is Mother Day weekend which may affect the availability of some of the workers. We’ll be contacting everybody who signed up to see if they are available for our new date.

The HQ will be open on Friday from about Noon to 9PM, and Saturday 7AM to 7PM.
If you are arriving on Friday during the day to help with setup go to the stage road directly if you are arriving after 11AM . There will be people at the HQ all day.
For Saturday we’re going to have a short workers meeting at the HQ (probably at the pavilion if the weather is OK) at 10:00. This meeting is mostly to confirm we have the people we expect and make last minute adjustments. Please check in with Amber inside the HQ before the meeting so she can confirm you made it there and all the waivers are in place. We have a limited number of ROV T-shirts to give away to the workers.
After the meeting we’ll head out to get set up on the stage. We want everybody in place by about 11:00 so we can sweep the stage for safety and get the course cars on route. The first rally car should start the stage at 12:14. They go in and out twice, there is a short service break about 2:30 and then they do it all again and get finished about 5:30
We’re going to have a casual dinner at the end of the rally back at the HQ, it’ll be Pork Schnitzel and Jumbo Hot dogs catered by “The Catch” and sponsored by Morton Equipment.
The Catch is a take-out Burger Stand about 600M north of the HQ and is open on Friday and Saturday 7AM to 6PM if you want to get breakfast or lunch. Also, as you approach Hwy. 507 from the south there is a store and gas station at Flynn’s turn where you can stock up on snacks and drinks (and fuel).
The weather for the weekend is pretty variable, and it’s a good thing we didn’t try to run this weekend. Google predicts partly cloudy and a high of 9° for Friday and Saturday but come prepared to be out in almost any weather. There are a lot of power outages and branches down in the area from the freezing rain that is currently ongoing but the expectation is that most of that will be cleaned up by Friday.
If you have HAM radio the primary frequency will be 146.58 simplex with a secondary frequency of 146.55. There is an upgraded repeater about 18km away that might work for some people, it’s VE3TJR 147.015+ with a 162.2 tone. Perhaps you can program your radio to that frequency ahead of time in case it has coverage of the area.
We’ll have a webex meeting for the workers at 7PM on Wednesday May 7if you have any questions. It’s not necessary to attend, it’s just an opportunity to chat if you need more information ahead of Saturday when things tend to get rushed.
