Detailed schedule and Recce Notes – May 6, 20h00
Here is the stage schedule for the rally, ideally first car is out at 12:01 and finishing at 17:11
Recce will run from 7:30 to 10:30 on Saturday May 10. This will be open recce, meaning you can run the road on your own schedule as many times as you like between the aforementioned hours.
Needless to say, there will be traffic in both directions plus workers setting up the stage so you have to be very cautious – no cutting corners of driving on the wrong side of the road. Watch out for the blind crests. The speed limit on the road is 60km/hr. Please observe that.
You can use your rally car on recce if you want assuming it has completed scrutineering and is licensed and insured. I want to emphasize that bad behavior on recce makes us grumpy (well, more grumpy than usual) and we get twice as grumpy if you are in your rally car.
In the quarry we are guests. Parnell Contracting have generously allowed us to use the quarry for our turn around so we can maximize our stage distance. We all have to be well behaved in the quarry, drive sensibly and safely.
Google maps has much of the stage on street view for what that is worth. The view is from September 2024 so isn’t representative of the conditions we can expect in May.
